First Semester Fitness Assessment 
This fitness assessment is designed to test different levels and to act as a "benchmark" for present and future fitness assessments. This test has four (4) sections: the shuttle run, sit-up test, push up test, and a 1-mile run test.

Push-up number met the National Fitness Standard and/or Push-up number improved by more than 15 Push-ups.
1-mile Run

Insufficient Evidence

No attempt made at Mile run or time decrease by 1+ minute or took longer than 15 minutes to complete the mile.
Emerging

Mile run time improved by 30 seconds but did not meet the National Fitness Standard.
Proficient

Mile run time improved by 1 minute but did not meet the National Fitness Standard.
Mastery

Mile run time met the National Fitness Standard and/or improved by more than 1+ minute.
