Home Reading	Poor No reading at home.	Fair Reads 1 to 15 minutes at home each night.	Good Reads more than 15 minutes daily at home
Uses reading strategies	Poor Only uses 1 reading strategy to figure out unknown words (like looking at pictures or only the first letter in a word).	Fair Uses 2 reading strategies to figure out unknown words.	Good Uses 3 or more reading strategies to figure out unknown words.
Practice Spelling Words	Poor Never study spelling words at home.	Fair Practices spelling words 1-2 nights each week.	Good Practice spelling words every night.
