STUFFED ANIMAL PROJECT EVALUATION Teddy Bear Sewing Project Students are to create FOUR pot belly/stuffed animals of their choice (bear, elephant, pig, or their own creation). Rubric Code: W9A6A6 By bladesg5 Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Vocational Type: Project Grade Levels: 9-12

STUFFED ANIMALS
	NEEDS IMPROVEMENT 1 pts	FAIR 5 pts	EXCELLENT 10 pts
DAILY PROGRESS	NEEDS IMPROVEMENT Student sits in class and does not get out sewing project. Makes no attempt to work on project. Wastes time every day and shows little to no progress on project.	FAIR Student works on project most of the class period. Quits work a little early because the project is at a good stopping spot for the day. Progress on project is moderate.	EXCELLENT Student gets project out at the beginning of class & works the entire period on the project, bell to bell. Progress on project is made every day. Manages class time very effectively.
DIRECTIONS	NEEDS IMPROVEMENT Student does not follow directions. Requires signifigant amount of teacher time one on one to explain directions.	FAIR Student pays close attention to directions. Attempts to follow written directions. Requires some one on one teacher time to explain directions.	EXCELLENT Student pays very close attention to directions. Reads and follows written directions with little input from the teacher.
WORKMANSHIP	NEEDS IMPROVEMENT Work done is poorly executed and incomplete. Loose stitching, poor measurements, Project is not going to last, Body parts are not positioned correctly	FAIR Project exhibits good workmanship most of the time. Some mistakes are evident, stitching may be loose in spots, Some body parts are positioned correctly.	EXCELLENT Excellent workmanship is evident. Project has few mistakes, tight stitches. All body parts are positioned correctly. Project is well constructed.
CREATIVITY	NEEDS IMPROVEMENT Student put no effort into personalizing stuffed animal	FAIR Student added some unique characteristics to the stuffed animal.	EXCELLENT Student created a unique Stuffed Animal with individual flare and sytle.
CLEANLINESS	NEEDS IMPROVEMENT Work space not left clean and neat at the end of class. Supplies not returned to proper areas.	FAIR Work space left clean and neat at the end of class most days. Most supplies were returned to proper areas.	EXCELLENT Work space was left clean and neat EVERY DAY! All supplies were returned to their proper areas.
SUPPLIES	NEEDS IMPROVEMENT Supplies were brought into class day 4 or after of the project.	FAIR Fabric was brought into class between days 2 and 3 of the project.	EXCELLENT Fabric was brought into class on the 1st day of the project!
