Predication Students make and show a prediction in their science journal about how their object will travel	Does Not Meet No writing is seen in the science journal and no verbal prediction was given.	Partially Meets Student was able to verbalize a prediction, but did not write the prediction in their journal.	Meets Student both verbalized and wrote a prediction in their science journal	Exceeds Student was able to verbalize and write at least 2 predictions in their science journal.
Draw/ Design Students complete a sketch of their drawing with a title and parts labeled.	Does Not Meet No evidence of drawing or sketch	Partially Meets Student has drawing or sketch, but only includes either a title or parts labeled	Meets Student has a drawing or sketch with all parts labeled and a title.	Exceeds Student has a drawing or sketch with all parts labeled and a title. Sketch is also colored and is neat. No signs of erased lines or writing.
Observe and Record Students test their design and write down what they observed	Does Not Meet Student does not test their design and does not write down observations	Partially Meets Student is seen testing their design, but does not write down their observations.	Meets Student both test and writes down their observations.	Exceeds Student conducts two or more tests and writes down their observations for each.
Group Discussion Students discuss in peer groups the outcome of their test.	Does Not Meet Student does not participate in class discussion at all.	Partially Meets Student sits in on class discussion, but does not share or contribute ideas.	Meets Student shares and contributes ideas in class discussions.	Exceeds Student takes information from class discussion and uses it to make changes to his or her design.
Presentation Students choose a web 2.0 tool of their chose and create a presentation about their project	Does Not Meet Student does not choose or complete a 2.0 presentation.	Partially Meets Student does not chose their won 2.0 presentation,but completes one the teacher choose for them.	Meets Student chooses and completes a 2.0 presentation.	Exceeds Student use two, 2.0 tools, that combined make one large presentation.
