Identifying Theme
	i = incomplete, missing 1 pts	2 = basic, approaching proficient 2 pts	Level 3 - proficient 3 pts	4 - advanced 4 pts
The Theme Statement	i = incomplete, missing incomplete or missing,	2 = basic, approaching proficient You have identified a moral, but it is incorrect or not supported.	Level 3 - proficient You have correctly identified the moral. Becomes: People learn something from all relationships, good or bad.	4 - advanced You have correctly identified the moral AND applied the lesson to your life.
Evidence/Support	i = incomplete, missing missing	2 = basic, approaching proficient - You provided evidence, but but the evidence does not support the moral.	Level 3 - proficient You correctly provided one piece of supporting evidence.	4 - advanced You correctly provided two or more pieces of supporting evidence from the text.
