Touching Spirit Bear Final Project Touching Spirit Bear Final Project The student will choose a medium of his/her choice to demonstrate understanding of the novel, Touching Spirit Bear. Projects may include a book review, a story strip/graphic novel of a scene from the book, an illustrated book jacket with description on back, a movie trailer/poster, or another idea pre-approved by Ms. Borchart. Work Quality / Effort x2	Concern Work is done with little effort, shows lack of quality, and may be incomplete. It lacks style, neatness and clarity.	Approaching Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is not what the learner is capable of. It lacks neatness and clarity.	Meeting Work is done with good effort that shows the capability of the learner.	Exceeding The work done exceeds all expectations. The effort put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.
Planning / Time Management x2	Concern The student did the minimum amount of work or the artwork was incomplete. It is evident little time was spent on the final product.	Approaching The student did the assignment in a satisfactory manner, but lack of planning was evident. It is evident that the work was rushed.	Meeting The student used time effectively and planning is evident most of the time.	Exceeding The student made use of time and planned very efficiently and effectively.
Creativity / Originality x3	Concern The piece shows little or no evidence of original thoughts.	Approaching The student work demonstrates lack of creativity and originality. Information is presented in a clear and logical manner with zero mistakes, showing absolute comprehension and understanding of the novel.
