The audience does not understand the presentation, because there is no sequence of information presented.
Approaching

The audience has difficulty following presentation because student jumps around topic to topic or place to place.
Met

The student presents the information in a logical sequence which the audience can follow (e.g., introduces the topic, explains or defines the topic, next presents research, finally summarizes the presentation).
Mastered

The student presents the information in logical, interesting sequence which the audience can follow,engage with and ask questions about.
Graphics/PPT/Font

The student uses superfluous graphics or no graphics. Font styles and colour are difficult to see, read and understand.
Approaching

The student occasionally uses graphics/images, but these rarely support the text or the presentation.
Met

The student uses graphics/images that relate to the topic, text and presentation. Font styles and colour can be seen, and read, but do not relate to the information presented (e.g., script fonts are difficult to read, or too many colours on one page distract the reader)
Mastered

The student uses graphics/images that explain and reinforce the presentation. Font styles and colours are easy to see, read and relate to the information presented (e.g., Red cross medical symbol is red)

The student does not have a grasp of the information; he/she cannot answer questions about their presentation or the topic.
Approaching

The student is uncomfortable with the information, and is able to answer only rudimentary questions (e.g., the topic name/definition, where to find information).
Met

The student is at ease with the topic and answers all questions, but repeats only the information contained in presentation and the fail to elaborate/expand/give more detail.
Mastered

The student demonstrates full knowledge (more than required) by answering all class questions with detailed explanations, and information not contained in the presentation.
Eye Contact/Voice/Word Choice

Not Met Yet

The student reads the information in the presentation and does not make any eye contact. The student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for the audience to hear.
Approaching

The student makes very little eye contact with the audience.The student's voice is low, too fast/slow, and incorrectly pronounces terms. The audience members find it difficult to understand the presentation most of the time.
Met

The student often makes eye contact with the audience, but mostly reads the presentation. The student's voice is clear, and he/she pronounces most of the words correctly. The audience can hear the presentation and understand the meaning.
Mastered

The student always makes eye contact with the audience.The student uses a clear, confident voice that is loud enough to hear at all times. He/she uses correct, precise pronunciation of terms so that the audience can understand.
