Drawing	Developing Drawing is illegible as an image. The image is messy, smeared or ripped.	Proficient Drawing is legible but limited in skill or concept. Composition is poor- the space is not filled in an interesting manner. The work may have smears or stray marks.	Accomplished Drawing is legible and competent in skill or concept, yet fills the space in an expected or non-creative manner.	Distinguished The drawing is superior in skill and concept and fills the space in a creative or original way.
Tooling Quality	Developing The relief is not three dimensional. The design is barely tooled. The image does not have crisp, sharp, recognizable edges.There are several noticeable tears and/or punctures.	Proficient Some of the relief is three dimensional. The design is somewhat tooled. It is not easily recognized and contains only a few crisp, sharp edges. There may be small, unnoticeable tears or punctures	Accomplished Most of the relief is three dimensional. The design is mostly tooled. There are no tears.The image is recognizable, with most edges sharp, crisp and well defined..	Distinguished The relief is three dimensional. All parts of the design are tooled. There are no tears. the images are easily recognized and all edges are crisp, sharp and well defined.
Cooperation/Cleanup	Developing The student is frequently off task, does not follow directions, or refuses to participate. Student misuses materials and wastes time.	Proficient The student is frequently off task, may not follow directions or delays cleanup.	Accomplished The student is sometimes off task, follows directions and cleans up work in a timely fashion.	Distinguished The student is almost always on task, follows directions and cleans up work area in a timely fashion. The student offers to help others.
Use of Elements of Art	Developing Student failed to use 2 textures and did not include contrast in the artwork.	Proficient Student used a minimum of 2 textures and was able to utilize the principle of contrast, but in an understated manner.	Accomplished Student used a minimum of 2 textures along with the principle of contrast in a very clear, concise manner.	Distinguished Student used more than the minimum of 2 textures along with the principle of contrast in a very clear, concise manner. The student also used 1 or more additional principles of design in the piece.
