Organization / Clarity	Excellent The presentation is completely understood and identified. There is clearly a meaningful structure to the presentation (ex. has BME, a distinct opening/closing, intent is clearly communicated)	Good The presentation is adequately understood and easily identified. There is structure to how the information is presented.	Fair The presentation has difficulty being understood and easily identified. There is some structure to the elements of the presentation, though somewhat random.	Poor The presentation cannot be understood and easily identified. The structure of the presentation is unclear and disconnected.
Subject Knowledge	Excellent The Presenter has a grasp of the content/ or information they are presenting. It is relevant and meaningful.	Good The Presenter adequately has a grasp of the content/ or information they are presenting. It is somewhat relevant and meaningful.	Fair The Presenter somewhat has a grasp of the content/ or information they are presenting. The information isn't clearly relevant to grade level.	Poor The Presenter does not have grasp of the content/ or information they are presenting. Content is irrelevant and not meaningful.
Originality/Creativity	Excellent The presentation is original and possesses creativity. Creativity of media being used? (oral, musical, dance, technology, theatrical, etc.) Creativity of idea/s being presented? (unusual perspective? a bit of history/culture not explored before? Creativity in how the media is combined to create a informative/interesting/relevant presentation?	Good The presentation is adequately an original work and possesses creativity.	Fair The presentation is somewhat an original work and possesses slight creativity.	Poor The presentation is not an original work possessing little creativity.
Cultural Significance	Excellent The presentation subject matter is identified as culturally significant and easily identified, or communicated in the presentation.	Good The presentation subject matter is adequately identified as culturally significant. It is somewhat identified, and not emphasized in the presentation.	Fair The presentation subject matter is somewhat identified as culturally significant. Cultural significance is vague, or misleading.	Poor The presentation subject matter is not identified as culturally significant. Cultural significance is not evident.
Elocution	Excellent Student projects an expressive & clear voice, correct & precise pronunciation of terms, and fluency rate is natural so that all audience members can hear/understand presentation. Students ability to Memorize, read from scripts, or use of cue cards is clearly practiced and they have significant familiarity with content. Student used microphone as directed.	Good Student's voice is clear. Student pronounces most words correctly. Most audience members can hear presentation. Students ability to Memorize, read from scripts, or use of cue cards is practiced and they have familiarity with content.	Fair Student's voice is low, unexpressive, and fluency affects understanding. Posture and Eye Contact	Excellent Stands up straight, looks relaxed and confident. Establishes eye contact with everyone in the room during the presentation and holds their attention. Introduction and Closure	Excellent Presentation displays remarks that capture the attention of the audience and sets the mood. Does not exposed the topic or does not summarize the closing marks.	Fair Presentation clearly uses either a complete introduction or closing remarks, but does not use both. Facts / Information	Excellent Abundant, accurate specifies (dates,people, places, events), good analysis and understanding. STAGE	STAGE STAGE: Presentation utilizes front and center of stage area. There is a safe (2-3ft.) of space between the edge of the stage and students performance area. Students walk onto stage from the stair cases, mindful of wiring. Sitting on the edge of the stage is prohibited at all times (teachers included). MICS	STAGE MICS: Appointed & trained students may adust mics. Students stand a comfortable distance from the mic. PROPS	STAGE PROPS: Props are encouraged. Use of tape, staples, easels, or other can be used. All evidence of props must be removed from stage/gym area after the presentation. Assistance is available, and some tools (ladders, staple guns, etc.) Must provide own tape, posters, etc. Evidence that PROPS are made by the students.
