TL Obj. 7.0 Dietary Choices: FAV FOOD PRODUCT LABELS CHART 
Student designs a chart with their top ten favorite food products or snack products (ex: Lipton package rice, Nacho chips). for each product they will gain valuable info as to their consumption, quality of consumption (or not), and how to read product labels. Student will critique their information (in written form) and share if teacher includes presentation aspect of assignment.

Chart is clearly labeled with larger font TITLE. Name, block, and date are on assignment. All labels are extremely neat or typed labels. Colorful and attractive chart - makes someone want to look at it. May have miniature logos of food products, etc.

Chart is drawn well and labeled with neat writing or typed labels. A title may be on chart but offset, small font, etc. Somewhat attractive.
Color is used.
Adequate

Chart is drawn but lines are not by "straight edge" or ruler. If curvy, it is clear it is a design element & not just crooked/wavy without design attention. Choice of color may not be very appealing.
Unsatisfactory Attempt

Chart is poorly drawn out, with little attention to design. May not have a title. may be lacking in required areas of info. May not have any color to speak of. May not exist!
For each food product ~Qs to answer

1. How many servings do you eat per week (7 days)?
2. No. of fat grams per 100 calories per serving.
3. List first 3 ingredients on each food label.
4. Circle (on label) or write in chart any ingred. that is sugar or sugar related (high fructose corn syrup, any of the - " -ose family" ex: sucrose, dextrose, etc).
5. List 3 ingredients on each food label that are "unknown" to you or you can not pronounce at this time.

All categories/information details are filled out for each food product. Complete*

Most categories have the required information for each food product.

A number of categories are filled out or are complete for each food product. A number also missing or incomplete.

A large number of categories are not complete at all. Some info appears to be "pulled out of the air". Project wasn't done.

Compare to "real" foods. Insightful conclusions. Potential or plan for realistic change based on chart conclusions.
