Statement Placements Utilizing the Venn Diagram Correctly	Good All statements noting similarities are placed in the center circle and all statements that note differences are placed in the correct outer circle.	Fair Most statements are placed in the correct circle, but student mixed up a few statements.	Poor Few statements are placed in the correct circle.
Number of quality statements Writing effective comparison statements.	Good Student is able to make five or more comparisons statements in each circle.	Fair Student is able to make 3-4 comparison statements in each circle.	Poor Student makes only 1-2 comparison statements in each circle.
