This rubric will assess your Social Studies Interactive Notebook. Your notebook will be collected periodically during the school year and graded according to the following 3 criteria using 5 levels.

Neatness/Organization

The notebook is sloppy. There is little/no labeling of assignments. The student will have great difficulty identifying items when studying.
Fair

The notebook is nice, but could be neater. Labels are minimal. The student could identify items for review, however it is not as neatly put together as it could have been.
Good

The notebook is neat enough for the student to identify each assignment and notes included. The notebook is organized and neat.
Excellent

The notebook is neat and clearly labeled all assignments are in place. It will be a nice display for others to refer too.
Exemplary

The notebook is very neat and clearly labeled. The student clearly spent extra time making the notebook presentable. Great example.

The notebook was completed with effort. The assignments were complete and showed considerable effort - occasionally exceeding expectations.

The notebook was well constructed. The assignments were complete - frequently exceeding expectations.

You did not bring your notebook to class on more than three occasions.
