Comments thoughtfully build on those of other students. The student introduces new information and opinions, rather than just repeat or reword the opinions of others. Student comments demonstrate a strong understanding and ability to analyze literary texts. Comments are spread out from the time of initial prompt posts to the due date.

Comments contain many misunderstandings about the text that indicate that student has either not read or is having trouble with analysis or student merely rephrases comments made by other students without offering any additional insight. Comments may be bunched together rather than spread out over the week.

Missing comments (minimum 4 replies required)

Contributes to discussion with clear, concise comments formatted in an easy to read style that is free of grammatical or spelling errors. No unprofessional comments or behaviors.

Contributes valuable information to discussion with minor clarity or mechanics errors. Fewer than two grammar errors, no unprofessional comments, or behaviors.

Communicates in friendly, courteous and helpful manner with some errors in clarity or mechanics. Fewer than 5 grammar errors, no unprofessional comments, or behaviors.

Posts long, unorganized or rude content that may contain multiple errors or may be inappropriate. Unprofessional comment or behavior.
