Magnetic Science Project
	Poor 2 pts	Fair 4 pts	Good 6 pts
Magnetic kite formation	Poor Construction of kite is weak. Pieces are falling apart; materials used are torn or significantly worn. Student did not draw a design for the kite and/or design is poorly drawn and not recognizable.	Fair Kite may have a few defects such as messy placement of tape, stick not standing upright, etc. Art design for kite is recognizable but not uniform and/or attractive.	Good Kite is neat and properly structured. Arrangement of materials is organized with no defects. Student's art design for kite is neat and creative.
Mobility of magnetic kite	Poor Student is not able to get the kite to fly.	Fair Kite starts off flying, but falls.	Good Kite successfully flies on a continuous basis without falling.
Identify Identifying magnétic/non-magnetic materials	Poor Student is not able to identify more than 6 magnetic materials.	Fair Student can correctly identify at least 7 magnetic materials.	Good Student is able to identify 8 or more magnetic materials.
Explanation of magnetic properties	Poor Student is not able to give a logical explination for more than 5 magnetic/non-magnetic materials.	Fair Student is able to explain why at least 6 of the 10 materials given are magnetic/non-magnetic.	Good Student is able to explain the reason why 7 or more materials are magnetic/non-magnetic.
