	Excellent 20 pts	Good 15 pts	Fair 10 pts	Poor 5 pts
Knowledge of Subject	Excellent The student has provided information which demonstrates a deep understanding of the material	Good The student has information, but it either contains inaccuracies or insufficient understanding of the subject.	Fair The student has some information, but, while an effort has been made, does not convey an understanding of the material.	Poor The student does not have an acceptable amount of information, nor does it convey an understanding of the material.
Final Product	Excellent The product has excellent quality with great attention to detail.	Good The product has many good qualities, but lacks some attention to detail.	Fair The product has fair quality, and lacks attention to detail.	Poor The product has poor quality and lacks attention to detail.
Creativity	Excellent The student uses colorful and creative ideas to display his/her knowledge and the project is presented in a way that is neat and orderly.	Good The student uses good creative ideas, but lacks some of the follow through in displaying his/her knowledge, and it is not as neat as it could be.	Fair The student uses some, but not many creative ideas to display his/her knowledge, but the project's neatness is limited.	Poor The student uses few creative ideas to display his/her knowledge. The project is not neat.
Conventions	Excellent There are no spelling or grammar mistakes in the project. Everything is well worded and easy to understand.	Good There are one or two spelling or grammar mistakes in the project, but they do not negatively affect the meaning or understanding of the project.	Fair There are a few spelling or grammar mistakes in the project, and they do negatively affect the understanding or meaning of the project.	Poor There are many spelling or grammar mistakes in the project which negatively affect the meaning and understanding of the project.
Overall Effort	Excellent Excellent construction, appearance, and grade level effort were used in this project.	Good Good construction, appearance, and grade level effort were used in this project.	Fair Fair construction, appearance, but the overall effort is somewhat below grade level.	Poor Poor construction, appearance, and the overall effort is well below that expected for the grade level.
