Representation of Variables
Poor
what one variable represents in the context of the problem.
Fair
what the both variables represent in the context of the problem.
Good
Student will include what the both variables represent in the context of the problem. Variables chosen will make sense in the problem.
Table
Poor
Student will include a table on the poster to represent the inputs and outputs of their problem with no more than two mathematical errors.
Fair
Student will include a table on the poster to represent the inputs and outputs of their problem with no more than one mathematical errors. Both variables in the table heading will make sense in the context of the problem.
Good
Student will include a table on the poster to represent the inputs and outputs of their problem with no mathematical errors. Both variables in the table heading will make sense in the context of the problem.
Graph
Poor
Poster will include a graph with the axes and increments of the graph labeled. The graph will represent the table with minor mistakes.
Fair
Poster will include a graph with the axes and increments of the graph labeled clearly. The graph will represent the table.
Good
Poster will include a graph with the axes and increments of the graph labeled clearly. The graph will represent the table and include where the line crosses the y-axis.
Function Rule
Poor
The rule will include the constant and the change in the table with input and output. The rule will have no more than 1 mistake.
Fair
The rule will include the constant and the change in the table with input and output The rule will also be mathematically correct and check based on the table and graph.
Good
The rule will include the constant and the change in the table with variables that make sense in the context of the problem. The rule will also be mathematically correct and check based on the table and graph.
Poster Presentation
Poor
The poster will be unorganized and include all at least 2 aspects of the project.
Fair
The poster will somewhat organized and include all aspects of the project.
Good
The poster will be clearly organized and include all aspects of the project.
