Exemplary Uses correct capitalization and punctuation all of the time.
Usage of Appropriate Vocabulary Story contains the correct usage of the vocabulary words.	Unacceptable 0-5 of the vocabulary words are used correctly in the story or all of the words are used incorrectly.	Needs Improvement There are only 5-10 of the vocabulary words used correctly in the story.	Meets Standard There are only about 10-14 of the vocabulary words used correctly in the story.	Exemplary All of the vocabulary words were used correctly in the story.
Creativity Student uses the vocabulary words in a creative way placing the story in a modern setting.	Unacceptable Student uses 0-5 of the words in a modern context where the words are used in different ways than the example sentences on the handout.	Needs Improvement Student uses 5-10 of the words in a modern context where the words are used in different ways than the example sentences on the handout.	Meets Standard Student uses 10-14 of the words in a modern context where the words are used in different ways than the example sentences on the handout.
