Media Technologies Participation Rubric Automotive Participation/Lab Activity TCC This Rubric will be used to grade daily participation in the classroom and when we have lab/studio activities. Media Technologies Participation
	Excellent 5 pts	Good 3 pts	Fair 1 pts	Poorly 0 pts
Job Readiness	Excellent Student comes to class on time. Student comes to class with all needed items to be productive during classroom activities.	Good Student shows up late to class less than 5 minutes. Student comes to class with some needed items to be productive during classroom activities.	Fair Student shows up later than 5 minutes for class. Student comes to class with none of needed items to be productive during classroom activities.	Poorly Student does not attend class.
Participation	Excellent Student has a positive and active roll in the discussions in the classroom. During lab/studio activities student stays on task without being redirected back to area.	Good Students only participates when called upon by teacher. During lab/studio activities student does not stay on task and has to be redirected back to area only once.	Fair Student does not participate at all, even when called upon by teacher. During lab/studio activities student refuses to stay on task or is redirected back to their assigned area multiple times in a class period.	Poorly Student does not attend class.
Lab/Studio Safety Practices	Excellent Student practices safe acts at all times in the lab/studio and classroom activities.	Good Student must be asked to maintain the safety standard that has been set by the teacher or school regulated rules.	Fair Student must be asked repeatedly to maintain the safety standard that has been set by the teacher or school regulated rules.	Poorly Student does not attend class.
Equipment Procedures	Excellent Students follows the procedures when using the studio equipment at all times. If student does not know how to operate equipment they ask 3 before me for assistance before using it.	Good Students does not follow the procedures when using the studio equipment at times. If student does not know how to operate equipment they ask the teacher for assistance before using it.	Fair Students ignores procedures when using the studio equipment. If student does not know how to operate equipment they try to learn on there own.	Poorly Student does not attend class.
