Create a Creature Rubric 
Students will draw, construct, or build a creature. Students will present there creature to the class. Oral reports should include a typed or written essay that includes the following creature characteristics, adaptations, habitat, energy source/diet, how it reproduces, and at least one unique fact. Your creature and essay are due on the 28th and oral presentations will be on the 29th, projects will not be excepted after May 29th.

Diet

Student explains what their creature eats and what adaptations it has to eat what it does.

The student fully described their creature's diet with enough information on adaptations to that diet to show how it would survive.
Good

The student gave many diet requirements but not enough information about how their creature would survive off of that diet and included some of the adaptations to that diet.
Fair

The student gave too little information about what their creature's diet and may or may/not have included the adaptations it has to that diet.
Poor

The student did describe their creature's diet or adaptations to that diet.
Creature Facts

Chosen creature has interesting fact and all other necessary information (name, gender, number of young etc.)

Excellent

All information was correct and noted and extra information on creature was provided.
Good

The student provided a fair amount of information about their creature in addition to requirements.
Fair

The student gave too little information about creature and did not include all required information.
Poor

The student did not give an interesting fact about their creature and did not provide any of the required information.
Reproduction

Demonstrate how your creature reproduces (Sexually, Asexually, Location, Time of Year, and Style)

Excellent

I described how my creature reproduces fully
Good

I was missing 2 of the 4 aspects of the reproductive process.
Fair

I was missing 3 of the 4 aspects of the reproductive process.
Poor

I did not describe how my creature reproduces.
Use time wisely

Students use class time to complete final due on May 28th.
