Set Design Model 
Students read a given script to gather information about the set demands. Using this information, students design and create a 3D model of the set using a shoebox and art materials.

The design presents a set capable of meeting all the demands of the
script. Includes all necessary flats, props, and other set pieces three-dimensionally.

Scale is off for 4 or 5 set pieces. Model is completed messily. It appears as though the student ran out of time to complete the assignment. Assignment was handed in well after the due date.
Minimally Meets Expectations

Scale is off for 2 or 3 set pieces. Model is completed somewhat neatly. It appears as though the student rushed to complete the assignment OR the assignment was handed in late.
Fully Meets Expectations

Relative scale is correct, may be no more than 1 piece with incorrect scale. Model is created neatly. It appears as though student spent a good deal of time completing the assignment on time.
Exceeds Expectations

All pieces are created using a mathematically correct scale. It appears as though student spent an exceptional amount of time getting the assignment "just right".
