Renaissance Project
Renaissance Project
Students will be able to select a famous person or build a model of an important person, discovery, invention, or contribution during the Renaissance Period. Students will research the famous person or model and transfer that demonstrated knowledge, concepts, and understanding of how the person or model has contributed to technology today in giving a short 2-4 minute presentation.

Level 0
The student provides no knowledge of of their Rome Project. The students uses irrelevant and incorrect information.
Level 1
The student demonstrates a little bit of the knowledge of their Rome project, and needs the assistance from the teacher.
Level 2
The students will provide an understanding of most of the knowledge during the Roman Period.
Level 3
The student uses all the appropriate facts and can give an explanation and application from the class lessons that have been taught during the Roman period.
Level 4
The student uses an excellent command of the knowledge and inferences and applications that go beyond what was taught in class or found in the textbook.
CONCEPT
Level 0
The student has no knowledge of any of the concepts that were discussed during class about the Roman Period.
Level 1
The student presents the project with some of the basic concepts from the Roman Period with help from the teacher.
Level 2
Students uses most of the concepts of the Roman Period, and are able to relate them current events with some omissions and errors.
Level 3
The student understands the all concepts of discovery, and change in relationship to current concepts derived from Roman period.
Level 4
The student responses demonstrate in depth inferences and application that go beyond what is taught in class.and applies the concepts of the Roman period to the concepts to present day technology and can explain how they interact with each other.
SKILLS
Level 0
The student has no skills displayed and does not follow the instructions given in the handout.
Level 1
The student presents the project with a basic understanding and basic investigative skills using alack of analytical skills.
Level 2
The students uses most complex issues, but not in the simpler details and process during the Roman Period.
Level 3
The student understanding all of the Roman Period using those investigative and research and communication skills as were discussed in class.
Level 4
The student uses those research and investigative and communication skills that go beyond the classroom lessons.The student has documented their source material.
ORANIZATION / PRESENTATION
Level 0
The student has failed to build a model/Report/Power Point/Brochure.
Level 1
The student presents the Project with a little bit of how it was build/completed and requires help from the teacher in presenting the material and the project. The presentation does not met the 2-4 time limit.
Level 2
The student presents the model/Report/Power point/Brochure and communicates most of information about the project in a clear and concise manner within the 2-4 minute time period. They know how most of the model works. They read from their note cards or poster, and occasionally look at the audience.
Level 3
The student uses note cards at time briefly,and communicates in a clear concise manner within the 2-4 minute time period. The presentation is well organized and is logically developed with no major errors. Dressed in the Roman attire.
Level 4
The model/project and presentation are communicated in a well developed and logical manner within the 2-4 min time period. The presentation leaves the listener wishing that that there more time for the presentation.Dressed in Roman attire, the presentation is clear,concise, and effective language while using good eye to eye contact.The student presents the model/person without the use of any note cards and provides responses that were not taught in class.
