U.S. Landform's Map Project U.S. Landform's Map Project This is a rubric for a 3rd Grade project in Geography. Students create a map of the different landforms within the United States, appropriately placing where each one should be. Landform Map

Labels	Poor No Labels on the map and no compass rose	Fair Landforms are labeled, but are inaccurate. Missing the compass rose, or group member names	Good Each landform is labeled correctly. Included a compass rose Mississippi River, Gulf of Mexico, Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Rocky Mountains, Appalachian Mountains, Plains (Great to Coastal) Deserts in the West	Excellent Went beyond the requirements by having each landform labeled, including a compass rose and their names, and added extra materials to their map.
Map	Poor Map is not finished	Fair Map is missing 1-2 landforms	Good Map is complete and has all the landforms in the correct location	Excellent All requirements have been included, plus additional information (i.e. labeling the Canadian and Mexican boarders; including the landforms of Alaska and Hawai'i)
