Balance	Unsatisfactory Student did not create balance in the composition.	Satisfactory Student somewhat successfully created balance in the composition.	Excellent Student successfully created balance in the composition.
Skill/Technique	Unsatisfactory Materials were used improperly and work was sloppy. Major problems are evident.	Satisfactory Materials were almost always used properly and neatly. Only minor problems are evident.	Excellent Materials were used properly and neatly. Few stray marks are evident.
Time/Effort	Unsatisfactory Class time was not used wisely. The work is unoriginal and simple.	Satisfactory Class time was almost always used wisely.
