-Clearly shows understanding of grid instructions with an accurate enlargement of the original photo source.
- Grid lines are evenly spaced.
- Grid lines are erased after use.
- The portrait and grid fill the entire sheet of paper.
Detail and Pet Likeness

- The artwork shows attention to detail.
- Fur texture follows the shape and form of the pet.
-There is an understanding of proportion and scale (different parts of the pet are consistent in size in relationship to each other).
- Textures and marks to make the pet are intentional and carefully drawn.
- There is consideration of different surfaces (fur, eyes, nails, whiskers, nose, etc.)
- Student captured the individual likeness of the pet.
Shading & Values
Meeting Requirements
- Drawing shows a wide range of values from very light, light, middle, dark, and very dark.
- The shading seems natural and follows from a coherent light source.
- The values are varied to show contrast and define form.
Craftsmanship

-Execution of ideas are clearly drawn.
-Artwork is clean and neat.
-The lines are carefully created considering the final drawing.
-The student erased any stray marks or fingerprints.
-Student spent time well in class, staying on focus and putting forth the effort to do the best work possible.
