Holocaust Narrative Project Students will complete the narrative project in an effort to demonstrate an understanding of vocabulary, literary themes, genre, and key historical concepts. The project will be evaluated for historical accuracy, structure, content, and grammatical structure.

Content The connection between history and fiction.	Poor Students do not provide a well-structure story line. There is no evidence of an attempt to turn historical material into a fictional narrative.	Fair The story is creative but lacks a balanced historical connection.	Good Student has crafted a well-structured story line. History and fiction have been blended to create a balance and enjoyable narrative. The historical facts provided are accurate and properly referenced.
Structure Use of narrative elements to craft the story.	Poor The student fails to use narrative elements to create the story. It does not adhere to the rules of the narrative genre.	Fair The student makes a strong effort to adhere to the rules of the narrative genre but there are a few inconsistencies.	Good The student adheres to the rules of the narrative genre. The result is a well-crafted story.
Mechanics Spelling/Grammar/ Punctuation	Poor There are numerous errors that detract from the quality of the writing.	Fair There are minimal errors in the paper and the story is easy to follow.	Good The paper is free from error and easy to follow.
