Compare and Contrast Two Animal Groups Students sorted pictures of two different animal groups magazines showing how the are alike and different. They labeled each picture to differentiate different animals within each group. They then had to compare and contrast two of animals within their group. Last they will write facts that compare them. Animal Groups

Sorting Animals by Group	Poor I could NOT sort animals into the correct groups.	Fair I was able to sort MOST animals into their correct groups.	Good I was able to sort All their animals into their correct groups.
Labeling Different Animals	Poor I cannot label the animals within their group.	Fair I labeled MOST animals within their group.	Good I labeled ALL animals within their group.
Compared and Contrast Two Animals	Poor I wrote one sentences that tell how two groups of animals are the same and/or different.	Fair I wrote two sentences that tell how two groups of animals are the same and/or different.	Good I wrote three sentences that tell how two groups of animals are the same and/or different.
