Crucible Modernization 
Students are working in groups to create a modern version of "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller. The remake must demonstrate an understanding of the complex themes associated with the play. Students must demonstrate the ability to work in groups, an understanding of the text, creativity, and the ability to translate broad literary themes into modern settings.

The summary and script are poorly written. There are numerous errors that distract from the quality of the writing.

The summary and script are well written. Proper format is utilized but with a few errors. The creativity is evident. There are minimal errors.

The summary and script are well written. Proper format is utilized and the creativity is evident. There are little or no grammatical errors
Presentation

The group displayed little or no effort in the creation of their presentations.

The effort in the presentation was evident but creativity was lacking.

The presentation was very creative and highly engaging. The effort was evident in the quality of the performance.

The group demanded a great deal of redirection. They struggled to work in a positive fashion.

There were a few struggles with group interaction but overall a strong performance
