Pronunciation	Poor Student pronunciation was incomprehensible. Tones were extremely unclear.	Fair Student's pronunciation inhibited understanding. Tones were partially understandable.	Good Student's pronunciation was understandable with some error. Tones were clear with several mistakes.	Excellent Student's pronunciation was like a native speaker. Tones were clear with few if any mistakes.
Fluency	Poor Student was unable to answer.	Fair Student took a long time to produce and response to questions.	Good Student was able to answer the questions with little difficulty.	Excellent Student was able to communicate clearly with no difficulty.
Comprehension/Understanding	Poor No sign of comprehension.	Fair The student showed little or no comprehension of questions.	Good The student understood most of what was asked of them.	Excellent The student fully understood the questions which were asked and answered correctly.
