Clear evidence of personality, transparency, and insight into learning. Posts encompass both academic and social ideas that focus on learning and challenges readers.

Most posts refer to specific learning in and out of class. Voice and personality are beginning to emerge. Posts vary in length and depth

Blog entries are primarily personal entries. Offer little insights into learning.
Hyperlinking
High
Posts use extensive hyperlinking, usually 3-4 per post. Hyperlinks should add to the reader's understanding by linking to related blog posts and informational resources. At least one hyperlink should link to a PLN member.
Medium
Posts use hyperlinking, usually 2-3 per post. Hyperlinks generally add to the reader's understanding by linking to related blog posts or informational resources. At least one hyperlink should link to a PLN member.
Low
Posts use extensive hyperlinking, usually 0-1 per post. Hyperlinks do not add to the reader's understanding. A hyperlink to a PLN member is missing.
Media
High
Posts include embedded content (audio/video/slideshows/presentations) and/or images that enhance or lead the postings.
Medium
Use of embedded content or images are used, somewhat enhancing the post.
Low
Little to no images or other media in the posting.
Discussion
High
Engages in furthering the topic by responding in full to comments. Occasionally follow up posts are made to further advance the conversation.
Medium
Consistent replies to comments.
Low
No responses to comments.
