Good Student displays six or seven details about a real famous explorer	Excellent Student displays ten or more details about a real famous explorer.
Research and Understanding	Poor Student did inadequate research. Student does not understand their own project.	Fair Student did some research but most information is not in their words. Student shows little understanding of their project.	Good Student did a lot of research and it is presented in their own words. Student shows a clear understanding of their project.	Excellent Student did significant research using 3 or more sources with citations and it is entirely in their own words. Student demonstrates a deep understanding of their project.
Visuals	Poor Lack of effort is evident, not visually appealing.	Fair Student put some effort visuals, they are slightly appealing.	Good Effort is evident in a visually appealing project that does not detract from the content.	Excellent The student went above and beyond to create a very visually appealing project that enhances the enhances.
