Content 5 pts	Poor - Content is incomplete. - Major points are not clear and /or persuasive.	Fair - Content is not comprehensive and /or persuasive. - Major points are addressed, but not well supported.	Good - Content is comprehensive, accurate, and persuasive. - Major points are stated clearly and are well supported. - Content and purpose of the writing are clear.
Pre-writing/note taking 5 pts	Poor - Rough draft is not attached -No notes attached	Fair - Rough draft shows little detail -Pre-writing is very limited.	Good -Rough Draft or note taking is attached. -Final is result from pre-writing
Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling 5 pts	Poor - Paper contains numerous grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors. (more than 5) - Language uses jargon or conversational tone.	Fair - Paper contains few grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors. (4 or less) - Language lacks clarity or includes the use of some jargon or conversational tone.	Good - Rules of grammar, usage, and punctuation are followed; spelling is correct. - Language is clear and precise; sentences display consistently strong, varied structure.
Format 5 pts	Poor -Final is not typed - Does not follow instructions on format	Fair -Final lacks length or format	Good -Final is typed, followed instructions
