Immigrant Interview Immigrant Interview Assignment Rubric DB Interview a family member, friend, or neighbor that remembers a story told to them about family immigrating to America. 	Poor 5 pts	Average 25 pts	Excellent 35 pts
Interview Questions	Poor Fewer than 7 questions; short answers; off topic questions or answers.	Average 7-9 questions answered with a minimum of 1 complete sentence. All answers on topic.	Excellent All questions answered. Answers are 2 or more sentences long. All answers are on topic. One or more pictures of the interviewee are included.
Introduction	Poor No introduction or information given before the interview. Introduction does not lead into the interview or may give a reason for the interview.	Average The introduction is 4-5 sentences in length. The introduction may lead into the interview or may give a reason for the interview.	Excellent The introduction is greater than 5 sentences. Introduction leads into the interview, gives a reason for the interview.
Title	Poor No title.	Average Generic title.	Excellent Specific and/or relevant title for the writing.
Timeliness	Poor More than 5 days late. Submission will not be accepted more 10 days past the original due date.	Average Interview turned in on the posted due date, unless permission for an extension has been granted by the instructor.	Excellent Interview turned in on the posted due date.
