Technique Posture, hand placement, finger technique.	Advanced Excellent posture and bench placement, Excellent finger technique/hand placement.	Proficient Very good posture, very good finger technique/hand placement, minor problems with technique.	Basic Posture acceptable, technique acceptable. Sounds better than it looks.	Minimal Minimal performance technique, slouches, uncomfortable.	Poor Poor posture and technique. Maybe better to play with only one hand.
Accuracy Notes, rhythms, musical signs, sound quality.	Advanced No audible mistakes, clear and accurate sound, good musicality.	Proficient Minimal mistakes made but with quick recovery.	Basic Some mistakes, slow recovery, audience may be aware of mistakes, good effort.	Minimal Some mistakes, facial expression draws attention to mistakes, poor recovery.	Poor Major mistakes, causing problems, poor performance attitude.
Tempo and Dynamics Steadiness of tempo, use of appropriate musical expression.	Advanced Great rhythm and tempo right on, very expressive, correct use of dynamics.
