Quotations in sentences
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
Quotation Marks	Poor Student does not use quotation marks to set dialogue apart in a sentence.	Fair Student attempts using quotation marks, but they are not used correctly.	Good Student uses the quotation marks correctly to indicate a character or person is peaking.
Spelling	Poor There so many spelling errors in the sentence it is too difficult to read.	Fair There are a few spelling errors, but they do not interfere with the readers' understanding.	Good There are no spelling errors.
Capitalization	Poor Capital letters are misused in words.	Fair Capital letters are being used for proper nouns and beginning of sentences, but there may be one or two errors.	Good Capital letters are being used correctly.
