Science Rubric
	Excellent 4 pts	Good 3 pts	Fair 2 pts	Poor 1 pts
Poster/Power Point	Excellent Poster includes: Problem/Question, Hypothesis, Experiment, Data and Results, a conclusion, and pictures.	Good Poster is complete and student has more than three errors.	Fair Poster is done, but the student did not follow directions, is incomplete, or there are significant errors in more than one place.	Poor Report is mostly incomplete, difficult to understand, has errors.
Hypothesis	Excellent The hypothesis includes the terms If...then...because and is written in the proper format.	Good The hypothesis mainly in the proper format and included two of the three terms: If...then....or because.	Fair The hypothesis is missing two of the three components in format relating to: If...then...because.	Poor The hypothesis is not written in If..then...because format.
Experiment	Excellent Student clearly and concisely summarizes the experiment.	Good Student mostly summarizes the experiment. Explanations are mostly clear and concise.	Fair Student summarizes experiment but some details are missing.	Poor Student did not summarize the experiment clearly or concisely.
Conclusions	Excellent Clear and concise conclusions are given. Conclusion addresses hypothesis and states knowledge gained.	Good Conclusions are present and complete, knowledge gained is present, but not clear and concise. Conclusion is mostly relevant to the hypothesis.	Fair Missing some parts of conclusion or knowledge gained. Conclusion is not relevant to the hypothesis.	Poor Missing conclusion completely.
Time Management	Excellent Student maximized the time provided and provided detailed information and pictures.	Good Student mostly maximized the time provided and gave information and pictures.	Fair The student occasionally maximized the time provided and gave limited information and pictures.	Poor The student wasted time and did not finish in a timely manner.
Data/results	Excellent Student clearly and concisely reports data/results.	Good Student mostly reports data/results.	Fair Student is limited in reporting data/results.	Poor Student did not report data/results.
