Ocean / Ocean Life 
Students will get the chance to understand, identify and learn more about the difference in the Arctic, Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Ocean. Students will also get the chance to learn about the layers that make up the ocean. Students will understand and learn about what all lives and makes up the four main oceans.

This will be an oral report over the differnt parts of the ocean.

Read the report straight off the paper. The student was unable to answer questions about the topic very well.

Has the audience engadged and interested. Clearly knows the topic. Answers all questions about the topic with great knowledge.
Picture and Paragraph
30 %

Draw a picture and write a paragraph about why one of the ocean animals dissucssed is important and should be protected in the future.

Poor

Lacks picture or paragraph. Student has numerous grammer and punctuation mistakes.
Fair

The student drew a picture lacking imprtant detail. The student had a few grammer and punctuation mistakes.
Good

The student has a detailed picture and paragraph to go along with the topic. The student used appropriate grammer and punctuation throughout the paragraph.
Ocean Map
20 %

Students will be able to identify the difference in the mountains, trenches and volcanoes that lie beneath the surface of the sea.

Poor

The student left blanks and put answers not relating to the topic. Student has numerous grammer mistakes.
Fair

The student filled in the map to the best of their ability. Few grammer mistakes.
Good

The student fills in and completes the mapping assingment perfectly. No grammer mistakes.
Challenges Project
20 %

Students pick something in the sea that is important and why it is important for us to maintain. With this they will have a selection of projects to pick from to express this topic through.

Poor

Gave minimal effort. Numerous grammer mistakes.
Fair

Had a few grammer mistakes. Completed a project but not correctly.
Good

Completed the project with the best of their ability. Little or no grammer mistakes.
