	Poor Establishes no argument or fails to establish any understanding 2 pts	Fair Establishes little argument and provides little support for the writer's opinion 3 pts	Good Establishes some argument and provides some support for the writer's opinion 4 pts	Excellent Establishes a clear argument and provides extensive support for the writer's opinion 5 pts
Opinion Does this Editorial express the writer's opinion and understanding of what the writer is trying to refute?	Poor Editorial takes no side and presents no clear opinion	Fair Editorial vaguely expresses the writer's opinion	Good Good support of the writer's opiniion is expressed	Excellent Editorial established a clear argument and extensivle supports the writer's opinion
Central Theme Does this Editorial Maintain a central Theme?
