Criteria for completing current event article writeups and presentations

Students will create an advertisement for a new product that they have created. Advertisements should include content & usefulness of a advertising technique. Students will also provide a sale pitch their knowledge of the advertising technique. Tell WHAT the purpose of the advertisement is. Decide how best you can persuade buyers to purchase your product.

In your groups present societal, economical and environmental components of sustainability which will help reduce our ecological footprint. Incorporate ways in how to establish a more environmentally sustainable community. Students will work on this project in class and then will be presenting to peers. Students will be graded as a team and as individuals.

This rubric will be used to assess your mini geography lesson on Africa.

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the topic selected by the student. The poster should have areas segmented that directly reflect the outline created by the student. The poster will be designed on either poster board (full-sized poster board) or tri fold poster board. The student is required to explain their poster to the class and teacher

Students will create business logo based on the criteria we have outlined in class. Their logos should be simple, bold, memorable, clear and meaningful.

You will need to create an advertisement of your own for a product of your choice. Advertisement options include: brochure, newsletter, or billboard. You must use Microsoft Office to create your advertisement.

Interview a family member, friend, or neighbor that remembers a story told to them about family immigrating to America. You should use a tape recorder or write notes during the interview. Then write the introduction and the conversation similar to the example shown. You may rearrange the conversation in your writing or take out parts that are off topic.

The student creates an editorial to demonstrate knowledge of an assigned topic. AMLE (NMSA) 1, 2, 5; ECED 1c, 4c

The purpose of this project is to analyze the Political and Economic systems of an island and determine your own economic plan.
