Technique

Little to no shading is apparent. Objects are more about Line and not Value.

Shows little range of values (1-3). Most of the drawings have rough shading on them.
PROFICIENT
Shows 3-4 values of shading. Missing some areas of value.
ADVANCED
Clearly and consistently shows varying values from 1-5 on the value scale. All objects are smoothly shaded.

The artwork demonstrates a small amount of personal expression. Objects are simply copied from an internet image or they are quickly finished.

The artwork demonstrates some personal expression.
Objects show some original additions different from an internet image.
ADVANCED
The artwork demonstrates original personal expression. Great care has been taken by the student to present an original work of art.

BEGINNER
The student put forth little effort or the project was not completed; class time or out of class time was not used well.
INTERMEDIATE
The student put forth minimal effort required to finish the project; used class time or out of class time inadequately.
PROFICIENT
The student put forth the effort required to complete the project. They used class time or out of class time well.
ADVANCED
The student put forth extraordinary effort to complete the project as well as possible. They used class time or out of class time extremely well.
