Point of View	Excellent The writing reflects the chosen character's point of view. The writing truly reads as if events are seen through the eyes of the chosen character.	Good Most of the writing reflects the chosen character's point of view. There are a few minor errors in point of view.	Fair Some of the wirting reflects the chosen character's point of view, but some also gets off track and reveals or discusses things the character would not know/think/say.	Poor The writing hardly ever reflects the chosen character's point of view.
Character's Voice	Excellent Chosen character's attributes show in actions and dialogue and match up to original scene.	Good Chosen character's attributes are somewhat shown in the actions and dialogue of the chosen character.	Fair Chosen character's original attributes show slightly in actions or dialogue, but more could have been included.	Poor Chosen character's original attributes do not show in actions or dialogue.
Conventions	Excellent The conventions of writing (grammar, usage, vocabulary, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and style) are near perfection. Only 1-3 errors.	Good The conventions of writing are mostly effective. A few errors here and there may distract the reader, but not so much as to detract from the plot and character development. 4-6 errors.	Fair The conventions of writing demonstrate a developing writer. Errors often distract the reader and make comprehension difficult. 7-10 errors	Poor The conventions of writing are lacking. Errors are frequent and distracting. More than 11 errors.
