Fair

The project content is fair and suggests the student has not discovered most of the important facts. There is some true essential information about the topic but there are 1-2 factual errors.
Good

The project content is good and suggests the student discovered most of the important facts about his/her topic. It includes essential knowledge of the topic.
Excellent

The project content is exemplary and accurate in its portrayal of assigned area; i.e. environment, clothing, food, weapons/tools and shelter. Covers topic in-depth with details and examples.
Creativity- Appearance

Poor

Minimal or no effort was made to complete the project. Project has a sloppy appearance.
Fair

Some effort was made on the project but ideas were more typical than creative. Project is neat.
Most aspects were displayed.
Good

Good creative effort. Project is neat and shows evidence of time spent on it. Project is neat. Most or all aspects were displayed.
Excellent

Project is excellently presented reflecting creativity and a lot of thought. All aspects were displayed.
Knowledge

Poor

The project and presentation demonstrate very little knowledge of the subject investigated. Student could not answer questions about topic.
Fair

The project and presentation demonstrate some knowledge of the subject investigated. Students could answer some questions about topic correctly.
Good

The project and presentation demonstrate good knowledge of the subject investigated. Student could answer most questions about topic correctly.
Excellent

The project and presentation demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the subject investigated. Student clearly answered post- presentation questions correctly and easily.
Oral Presentation

Poor

During the presentation student spoke either softly and/or too quickly. Students in the back could not hear. Student hardly looked up and relied heavily on note cards.
Fair

During the presentation student spoke in a normal tone. Students in the back had some difficulty hearing. Student looked up on occasion. Some use of note cards.
Good

During the presentation student spoke clearly and loudly projecting his/her voice. Student looked up sometimes.
Little or no use of note cards.
Excellent

During the presentation student spoke loudly & clearly projecting his/her voice so that students in the back could easily hear. Student looked up often. Information was not read but explained.
