Posts and Comments Used to grade general posts and comments on the professional networking site of their choice.
	Exceeds 3 pts	Meets 2 pts	Does Not Meet 1 pts
Post or Comment	Exceeds Student's posts or comments are strong, substantial, and shows thorough understanding of topic. Student has included original ideas that promote further thinking.	Meets Student posts and comments are strong, fact based, and shows basic understanding of the topic. The responses to other entries are thoughtful.	Does Not Meet Student contribution is minimal and/or difficult to understand. No response to other entries.
Intellectual Engagement	Exceeds Posts or comments show strong awareness of key issues on the professional networking site that they chose. Student's own opinion is also present, and presents thought provoking questions or statements to further the discussion.	Meets Posts or comments show strong awareness of key issues on the professional networking site that they chose. Includes a student opinion and adds examples supporting the entry.	Does Not Meet Post or comments make little or no reference to the key issues on the professional networking site that they chose. Student posts an opinion but does not support it with facts.
Personal Response	Exceeds Post or comments are well organized. Student supports opinion with facts beyond the classroom discussions (as a result of research beyond class) and provides references to these sources.	Meets Post of comments are supported through facts from classroom discussions or web/reading resource.s	Does Not Meet Post or comments are present but is not supported by facts.
Grammar and Spelling	Exceeds Posts or comments show a good command of Standard English, have a flair and originality, and have no errors in grammar or spelling that distract the reader from the content.	Meets Posts or comments show a good command of Standard English and have flair and originality. Writer makes 3-4 spelling or grammatical errors.	Does Not Meet Posts or comments use incorrect grammar and spelling, consistently making it difficult for others to follow ideas in entry. 4 or more spelling or grammatical errors.
Timeliness	Exceeds Student contributes a post and 2 comments on two different days in 1 week.	Meets Student contributes a post and 1 comment on two different days in 1 week.	Does Not Meet Student contributes only 1 post or 1 comment 1 day of the week or nothing at all in 1 week.
