Meets Standard Supports tone and phrases most of the time.	Exceeds Standard Always supports tone and phrases.
Musicianship Do group/student perform with different articulations and dynamics? Do they perform with musicianship?	Below Standard No dynamics. No use of articulation. Most phrases are performed incorrectly.	Approaching Standard Some dynamics are observed. Some articulation is evident. Some phrases are complete and musically accurate.	Meets Standard Most of the dynamics are followed, and most of the articulation signs are observed. Most phrases are performed correctly.	Exceeds Standard Student performs the piece with appropriate dynamics, phrasings, and articulation.

Lyrics are sometimes understandable, but generally hard to understand.	Meets Standard Good Diction. Lyrics are easily understood and reflect careful attention to diction.	Exceeds Standard Excellent Diction. All aspects of vocal diction are evident, and reflect careful attention and proper technique.
