The rock cycle is an ongoing process that never ends. In this presentation a student must be able to explain what is the rock cycle and the processes to the formation of the different rock types.

Poor

Student is able to explain the rock cycle but has no understanding of the processes or the connection to the rock types.

Students is able to explain the rock cycle to some detail. Student can connect the processes but fails to make the overall connection.

Student is able to explain the rock cycle in great detail. Student can connect all processes that lead to each rock type and has a fair understanding of the processes as well.
