ACH The student put forth the expected effort required to successfully complete the project and used class time well.	EXC The student put forth extraordinary effort to complete the project well as possible; used class time extremely well. They went above and beyond the requirement.
Craftsmanship/ Skill Execution of Ideas, application of products	BEG The artwork shows poor craftmanship and little to no attention to detail. Work seems messy and/or unfinished.	DEV The artwork shows below average craftmanship and little attention to detail.	ACH The artwork shows good craftmanship, with some attention to detail.	EXC The artwork shows outstanding craftsmanship,with clear attention to detail.
Creativity/ Originality Inventiveness, expression of ideas and imagination.	BEG The artwork lacks evidence of true creativity or individual expression.	DEV The artwork demonstrates little expression or creativity.	ACH The artwork demonstrates some inspiration and creativity.	EXC The artwork demonstrates impressive expression and originality in design.
Use of Design Principles Artwork should reflect aspects of balance, unity and emphasis	BEG Little to no attention to detail of composition. Overall design does not work for project's purpose.	DEV The work has random areas that do not connect to the rest of the piece. Some areas are too busy and others seem unfinished.	ACH The work has very strong areas that stand out in their excellence. However, there are other areas that do not work in the art. Instead they are a distraction to the overall piece.	EXC Finished project has evidence of elements and principles of art and design. Composition has both organic and geometric shapes.
