Purpose for the Website	Poor Website appears to have no clearly defined purpose related to science for elementary students. Information is haphazard and unrelated to website's purpose.	Fair Purpose of website is not immediately clear to students. With some effort, students can glean the website's purpose from the information presented.	Good Purpose is clear, information generally relevant. Some irrelevant or poorly integrated information is present.	Excellent The website's purpose is clearly illustrated. Information is clearly aligned with purpose.
Age-Appropriate	Poor Information is presented in language that is above most children's comprehension level.	Fair Information is presented in language that requires children to look up meanings of words.	Good Information is presented is language that is reasonably understandable to elementary school children.	Excellent Information is presented in language that is understandable to elementary school children.
Up-to-Date	Poor Information is out of date or the date of the information presented cannot be determined.	Fair Information is current within two years from the date of access of the website.	Good Information is current within one year from the date of access of the website.	Excellent Information is current and up-to-date within a six-month period from the date of access of the website.
Navigation	Poor Elementary school children will find website difficult to navigate or find information. Website freezes or locks., or contains broken links. Navigation of the website requires both effort and patience.	Fair Elementary school children can find the information on the website, but not easily.
