Biography Report-4th grade Biography Report-4th grade This rubric will assist in assessing a nonfiction report on a biography. The students will choose a person who has influenced NJ history. They are then to conduct research. They will write a 5-pagragrah, typed, double-spaced paper. The final presentation needs to include a first-person report for which the student will "dress up" like the person. (No elaborate costumes necessary; a simple prop is fine.) Written Report 4 pts	Above Grade Level The student wrote 5 paragraphs including an interesting and clear introduction and a description of the character's early life, adult life, and accomplishments. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation are near perfect.	At Grade Level The student wrote 4-5 paragraphs including an interesting and clear introduction and description of the character's early life, adult life, and accomplishments. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation are near perfect.	Approaching Grade Level The student wrote 4-5 paragraphs with some missing details from the introduction, description of character's early life, adult life, and accomplishments. There are some incorrect sentences and / or grammar and punctuation errors as well as some spelling errors.	Well Below Grade Level Inaccurate information and / or incomplete information. Student did not meet the requirements set by the writing guide.
