Script Project Rubric 
Students will spend the semester creating an original script as a final project. The script can either be a stage play, screenplay, or teleplay. Students are allowed to choose their topic, script type, and are given opportunities throughout the semester to write it.

The script is not original, is not developed, and does not hold the audience's attention.

Writer has completely correct formatting, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

Organization

(How well was the story organized relating to the elements of drama?)

The script is written in an organized fashion.<BR>
The story line is presented clearly. The script follows the plot structure discussed in class (i.e. rising action, climax, 3-act structure etc.).
Good

The script is somewhat organized. Thought was put into the organization of the plot, though some parts are not clear or thought out as well.
Fair

The script is not well organized. The plot does not follow the structure discussed in class.
Poor

The script is unorganized. The audience has trouble following the plot and/or the student has little to no plot involved.
Plot Twist

(Did the script meet its length criteria?)

Excellent

The script met all requirements for Plot Twist.
Good

The script meets over half of the Plot Twist requirements.
Fair

The script only meets half of the Plot Twist requirements.
Poor

The script meets less than half of the Plot Twist requirements.
