Students will take their knowledge of our solar system and create a 3-dimensional model of it. The planets should be in the correct order and be relatively proportioned to each other (example: Mars should not be bigger than Jupiter). The sun should be included as part of the solar system. All planets should be clearly labeled in some way. This is a project meant to not only see how students view the solar system, but to also showcase their creativity.

Inside Bod's suitcase contains all the artifacts that are important and meaningful to Bud. Students are to recreate Bud's suitcase by adding important artifacts throughout the novel study.

The students read Holes by Louis Sachar. After completing the the novel, students worked in small groups identifying the themes of the selection, Students are asked to defend their claim using text evince form the text.

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the theme of Bullying/"Look At Me, I'm Drug Free"/Anti-Smoking. Students will provide bullying scenarios and demonstrate bullying mediation techniques in a creative and colorful poster/pictures or scenarios displaying a "Drug Free" individual/pictures or scenarios following a anti-smoking theme. The poster will be designed on poster board (1/2 or full-sized poster board).

Common Core Standards: 4.OA.2 Multiply or divide to solve word problems involving multiplicative comparison, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem. 4.L.1.f Produce complete sentences recognizing and correcting inappropriate fragments and run-ons.

Write an analysis of a character from Maniac Magee. Your analysis should include internal and external features of your character. Statements of the character should include textual evidence and interpretation.
