End of Term Notebook Check

Once a week during the first semester of school students will have an hour in the morning to practice their research skills. I will give them one thing to research that relates to something that we are doing in class that day. They will need to include a front cover page with a creative title and with their name and 1-2 pictures that corelate with the whole Notebook. They will also need to have a table of contents, a works cited page, a page for each topic with a good descripton of the topic along with a picture, date, and title. The research notebook will need to be neat, organized and readable. They will be due the last day of class at the end of the semester

After reading chapter 9 - Globulation - analyze the meaning of the chapter. Include in the analysis, facts that support your analysis.

Write a 1 page, 5 paragraph research paper on your Historical Figure for the History Fair

Students will create a Articles of Confederation era newspaper. The students will include: a Title, 2 news stories, 2 feature stories, pictures with captions, headlines and bylines. Students will be graded on the ability to follow directions, content of the articles, creativity, presentation, and overall neatness. This project will constitute three grades: ELA - Writing, Social Studies, and Technology

This essay describes the requirements that students are to meet in order to gain full points for history essay or reaction paper.
